Independence day for the independence of biodiversity

This year’s project has been quite unique particularly in adjusting with different event of this year, not to mention the school schedule, the presidential election, even the schedule of the bats who just want to flying around. Our students were almost wear out.  They have been practiced by themselves, carrying up the bamboo poles, setting up and moving out mist nets, but the bats just prefer not to get caught in the mist net.  Until 17 August…. 17 August is our independence day…  Celebrating independence day in the field is just fascinating.  And these girls made a special picture for the day right from the our field transect….

Nuy_Zahrah And wrote these in their facebook:

“Karna Soekarno telah berhasil memperjuangkan Kemerdekaan Indonesia, mari kita perjuangkan kemerdekaan itu kembali! Kemerdekaan hutan dan isinya, kemerdekaan biodiversitas! Let’s Save Our Forest, Let’s Save Our Future! Happy Independence Day, Indonesia! We’ll take care of your forest!”

“Because Soekarno had successfully fought for the Indonesian Independence, let us strive back for our independence! The Independence of the forest and its contents, the independence of biodiversity! Let’s Save Our Forest, Let’s Save Our Future! Happy Independence Day, Indonesia! We’ll take care of your forest!”
